Leads

Leads

I have bought leads.  Ok, I admit that I had a weak moment.  I was struggling to build a work from home business.  I searched Google for the keyword term leads.  I thought that this would be a logical place to start.  I looked through hundreds of leads brokers and I decided to just pick one.  I did this very logically.  i went to one of the top rated spots on page one, and I chose their fresh prospecting leads package.  I spent well over $600 for these leads.

The company rep that I spoke with assured me that their leads were fresh, double opted in and telephone surveyed leads.  He told me that my ROI would be substantial.  He also asked me when I was going to reorder some more leads.  They were having a leads special today, and for an additional sum of money, they would throw in some extra leads simply because they build their business on repeat customers.  I figured it a was great deal on these leads and I would spend the extra money.

I started calling these leads.  The first few calls were disconnects, but I figured that this was to be expected.  You see, I am very determined to build my home business.  I never accept failure as an option, so I just kept dialing.  Either no one was home, or they simply do not answer their phone, because the results that I got from these so-called special leads were literally junk.  I could have done better by simply walking up and down residential district to peddle my latest and greatest home business offer.

I began to get the distinct feeling that buying leads was throwing away good money.  I was able to speak with a few of these prospects, but they were not interested in what I had to sell.  Actually, I was not selling anything, I was just touching base with them to see if they were interested in a home business.  Have you ever had the feeling that building an online business is similar to the old envelope stuffing gigs you use to see in ads?

If you are set on buying leads to build a Google business, I say just go for it.  If you like rejection, no answers, talking with people that could care less about building an online business and all the other results that you will face on a daily basis, I say good for you.  I decided long ago that I would never buy another lead on the Internet.  I am weary from putting money in the leads brokers pockets for nothing but digital trash.

I don't buy leads now, I simply buy customers.  http://itsgoodbusiness.net
